New Jersey Computer Science League

About the Competition
What is ACSL?
The American Computer Science League (ACSL) is a premier computer science competition that challenges students with problems in algorithms, data structures, and programming.
NJCSL brings these competitions to New Jersey students through four divisions — Elementary, Classroom, Junior, and Intermediate — each matched to a different level of experience.
Elementary Division
For elementary students beginning their CS journey
Classroom Division
Theory-focused problems, open to all grade levels
Junior Division
For middle school students ready to compete
Intermediate Division
For high school students building their skills

Students Compete Because People Give
Entry fees, study materials, and contest-day costs are covered by donations — not by the students who show up to compete. NJCSL is a 501(c)(3), so every gift is tax-deductible.
- Covers ACSL entry fees for New Jersey students
- Funds study materials across all four divisions
